In
the year 2010, when I was in first year of geography, with my classmates went
to the beach Las Cruces in the class of geology with the teacher Dharmo Rojas.
This beach is located in the region of Valparaiso in the neighborhood of San
Antonio, very near to Santiago, approximately 110 kilometers.
In
that beach we learn to identify rocks made with sand, that are called “areniscas”
or sandstones, we found a lot of
others rocks known how quarts, these rocks are very common in the beach, are
generally white and transparent, but sometimes you can found the quarts in pink
(amethyst quarts), the people collect this rocks to made collars, rings or pending.
Wherever, after to take the lunch, with my classmates advantages the beautiful
sun to swim in the beach, this was very great, because all were in underwear! Our
teacher not angry, but after in the bus we were very wet and covered with sand.
In
the afternoon went to other place, I don´t remember the name, but was like a
forest, in a hill. When arrived here, all started to run downhill, also my
teacher said “don´t run in the hill, you can fall and hurt”, but nobody
bothered. In this time, Dharmo was furious, and ordered that all the people
come back to the bus to go to Santiago. This was very funny for us!
Wherever,
I like very much this beach, because I remember the situation with my
classmates, also, I never went before to this beach, and when I listen “Las
Cruces” remember immediately the class of geology.
I remember very well that trip, the beach "Cruces" was a very peaceful and beautiful. I want to go back.
